Hey guys,
Just wondering whether anyone knows how to disconnect/deactivate/switch-off the Chubb Secure 6000 system. Your help is greatly appreciated!
I am currently renting a property that has been fit with a Chubb Secure 6000 system. I have been given no instructions or what so ever on the alarm system, apart from a 4-digit code. I was pretty happy with it until I discovered that it somehow affected my internet connection (with iiNet). The alarm would go off with a 'beep beep beep' whenever the internet was down (either from a loss of connection or the modern was switched off). Recently we have had a few instances that the alarm went completely off and the siren went like there would be no tomorrow.
I was not given a key to access the Chubb Switch Panel/Box, which was powered by a plug on the wall that said 'DIRECT ALARM SUPPLIES' and was also connected to a telephone cable.
Would the alarm system be switched off if I just unplug the power and unplug the telephone cable?

i am after some assistance, we recently bought a house with a chubb secure 8000 system, the previous owner was supposed to leave the code for us but they didn't. The system is not linked to an outside contracted security company. It has 2x sencors in the house and i am wondering if we can reset it and set up a new code without calling in Chubb for example and getting it reprogrammed. There is power to the panel and the sencors are active and pick up movement and also the zones light up on the control panel.
